Power desk FTP, sauvegarde des sites ftp

To save off your list of FTP sites:

  1. Browse to the PowerDesk install folder.   This is located at:

    (on 32-bit Operating Systems):  C:\Program Files\Avanquest\PowerDesk
    (on 64-bit Operating Systems):  C:\Program Files (x86)\Avanquest\PowerDesk

  2. Locate a file called ISMAGIC.exe and double-click it to run
  3. ISMAGIC will open and prompt you to select a storage file. This is where PowerDesk actually keeps it's list of FTP sites.   Your storage file should be located at:

    (on Windows XP):   C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Application Data\Avanquest\PowerDesk
    (on Windows Vista/7/8)   :C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Avanquest\PowerDesk.

  4. Browse to that location and select the file PowerDesk.stg then click 'Open'.
  5. In the iStorageMagic window you'll see a folder called 'FTP Sites' on the left sidebar. Single click this to highlight it, then go to the iStorage menu and choose 'Export'
  6. Name the file whatever you'd like (but keep the extention .stx) and save it.  Make note of the location in which you've saved it. You can now close iStorageMagic.

To import your list of FTP sites into a new installation of PowerDesk:

  1. Browse to the PowerDesk install folder.   This is located at:

    (on 32-bit Operating Systems):  C:\Program Files\Avanquest\PowerDesk
    (on 64-bit Operating Systems):  C:\Program Files (x86)\Avanquest\PowerDesk

  2. Locate a file called ISMAGIC.exe and double-click it to run
  3. ISMAGIC will open and prompt you to select a storage file. This is where PowerDesk actually keeps it's list of FTP sites.   Your storage file should be located at:

    (on Windows XP):   C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Application Data\Avanquest\PowerDesk
    (on Windows Vista/7/8)   :C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Avanquest\PowerDesk.

  4. Browse to that location and select the file PowerDesk.stg then click 'Open'.
  5. Go to the iStorage menu and choose Import.
  6. Locate the .stx file you saved off from the previous installation and select it,  then click Open.  You can now close iStorageMagic.

The list of FTP Files should be imported into your new PowerDesk installation the next time you launch it.
